Mission

Creating new and exciting mythologies for our times

Bebárdo’s art delves deeply into the transformative qualities of both human psychology and the natural world. In his visually compelling stories, he strives to reveal unknown depths and to explore new territories, in an attempt to create new and exciting mythologies for our times.

    ABOUT THE ARTIST

Trained at multiple art schools, visionary artist Bebárdo first embarked on his artistic journey as a young painter, over time shifting to photography, evolving into using digital art, satellite imagery and now also exploring the challenges of AI. Bebárdo derived his pseudonym from the ‘Bardo Thodol’, also known as ‘The Tibetan Book of the Dead’. In Tibetan Buddhism, Bardo is the state of existence intermediate between two lives on earth.
Similar to Gandhi’s famous ‘Be the change that you wish to see in the world’, Bebárdo is saying:
Immerse yourself in Bardo, or… be Bardo!

    BARDO

Bardo signifies the intermediate state between earthly lives. After death and before rebirth, consciousness experiences various phenomena, from clarity to terrifying hallucinations. For prepared individuals, Bardo presents an opportunity for liberation through direct experience of reality. However, others may face danger, influenced by karmic hallucinations, leading to undesirable rebirths.

    AI

Creating art with the aid of artificial intelligence offers a transformative experience, empowering artists to merge their vision with cutting-edge technology. Bebárdo found that AI in the creative process acted as a collaborator, enhancing the artist’s creative and conceptual process, perhaps akin to a scriptwriter shaping a narrative, a film director orchestrating scenes or a director of photography choosing angles and camera movements, film and lens type, lighting, framing, color and filters.

Bebárdo finds that in the right hands, AI can amplify creativity. If used with enough conceptualizing and vision, it could usher in a new era of limitless artistic exploration and innovation.
