THE OCCULTISTS
In a series of portraits spanning the ages, fictional occultists embody the diverse tapestry of esoteric traditions, from the wisdom of Ancient Egypt to the mysteries of Hellenistic magic, the depths of Kabbalah, and the transformative alchemy of the Renaissance. Each portrait tries to capture the essence of spiritual seekers delving into Gnosis, the mystical interpretations of the Torah in Kabbalah, and the rituals of Freemasons. These figures traverse the realms of Spiritualism, Theosophy, and Anthroposophy, seeking enlightenment through the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the paths of Wicca and the New Age movement. They are heirs to a lineage stretching from Hermes Trismegistus to Helena Blavatsky, William Wynn Westcott, and Aleister Crowley, navigating the intricacies of the left-hand and right-hand paths in their quest for hidden wisdom and spiritual ascent. Through their gaze, the enigma of occultism persists, transcending time and culture. Currently, Bebárdo is writing short humorous biographies for each portrait.

Rest in Nature, study, know, then dare; dare to will, dare to act and be silent“
